Datalogic Acquires PPT Vision Inc.

Italian company Datalogic S.p.A. has recently announced the acquisition of PPT Vision, Inc., a U.S. company which has been present in the machine vision market for nearly 30 years. This acquisition enables Datalogic to strengthen its presence in the market of artificial vision, which features a high growth potential within the Industrial Automation field.  PPT Vision is an American company which has been a pioneer in the Machine Vision market, with a global presence and revenues of approximately 6 million USD in fiscal 2011, ending October 31, 2011.
