Panasonic Launches Microsite For Enterprise-Grade Toughbook Android Tablet

28-11-2011

Panasonic Solutions Company has launched a microsite for its Toughbook® Android tablet.   The site, accessible through the Panasonce web pages, provides visitors with background information on the device, details on potential market applications, product news and the ability to sign up for future updates. Additional information, dynamic content, ecosystem developments and marketing promotions will be added to expand the site on an ongoing basis.

“When we announced our intent to deliver this product earlier in the year, there was a significant amount of interest because of the gap it will fill in the existing spectrum of media tablets,” said Kyp Walls, director, product management, Panasonic Solutions Company. “This microsite will provide customers seeking enterprise-grade tablets with important updates and, we hope, will become a hub for those interested in the next frontier of mobile computing.”

The Toughbook tablet is designed to address enterprise computing needs by delivering a product built with security and real-world reliability in mind. By delivering this purpose-built business solution, the new tablet will appeal to a wide variety of users, including mission critical government personnel, highly mobile field forces, businesses looking for a competitive edge, security conscious IT managers and bottom-line focused CFOs.

The tablet offers durability and ingress protection consistent with other fully-rugged Toughbook mobile computing devices. With its integrated stylus, mobile workers can capture signatures on the device’s 10.1” XGA multi-touch display. The Toughbook tablet also includes a high-brightness, daylight-viewable screen so mobile workers, in markets like field service, home healthcare and public safety, can easily see critical data and operate the device regardless of lighting conditions.
