Zebra To Launch Ultra-Wideband Real Time Locating System

Zebra Enterprise Solutions Division will be launching Dart Ultra-Wideband (UWB) Real-Time Locating System (RTLS) this fall. 

 The next generation of the Sapphire UWB product line, Dart UWB offers one common UWB active RFID/RTLS platform that enables fast, accurate location of personnel and equipment for operations in United States, Canada and the European Union markets. Dart UWB includes a full set of products certified for use in hazardous and explosive environments as defined by the ATEX Directive in Europe.  These products have been designed for use in extreme, regulated environments such as mining, petrochemical, and other process manufacturing industries.

 Built on the current Sapphire UWB RTLS core capabilities, Dart UWB is designed for applications where long range, multi-read, real-time location is necessary.  Dart UWB provides the lowest cost-of- ownership in the industry by improving installation ease, scalability, performance, and tag management. By reading thousands of small, active RFID tags per second, Dart UWB allows for an expanded array of both indoor and outdoor asset management applications in the harshest industrial environments.  

Dart UWB provides stable temperature performance over an extremely large range and durable tags enable more asset management opportunities without the need for customization.  In addition, new planning and tag configuration tools allow for easier system install, flexibility and scalability.
