Motorola Rebate Lowers Cost of Upgrading Wireless LANs
Motorola’s new promotion “Recycle Your Way to Better Bandwith” is targeted at customers who want to upgrade their existing WLAN infrastructure. Customers can replace their legacy enterprise networking equipment from any enterprise WLAN vendor, including Motorola or Symbol, with the latest 802.11n solutions from Motorola. The promotion is available in North America until September 30, 2010 through members of the Motorola PartnerEmpower channel program. It provides direct cash rebates to customers on Motorola 802.11n WLAN access points and switches as well as mesh wide area network (MWAN), point-to-multipoint (PMP) and point-to-point (PTP) solutions. Customers also benefit from cost-free recycling of their legacy infrastructure.
“Motorola recognizes that many enterprise and government customers want to upgrade their wireless networks to support the rapid demand for bandwidth-intensive wireless applications and services but are hesitant about making the necessary capital investment in the current economic climate,” said Sujai Hajela, vice president and general manager for Wireless Network Solutions, Motorola Enterprise Mobility Solutions. “Motorola’s broad portfolio of field-proven wireless network solutions provides the capacity and performance required by current and future mobile applications. By taking advantage of the promotions, more customers will be able to enjoy the benefits of the latest wireless technologies while knowing that their old equipment was recycled with the environment in mind.”
The WLAN competitive replacement promotion offers customers direct discounts off list price on access points and switches. To be eligible for the promotion, customers are required to send in an equal number or more of their legacy enterprise WLAN devices to a designated recycling center for disposition and submit a single invoice issued by a member of Motorola’s PartnerEmpower channel program to the customer. Equipment rebates will be provided by Motorola directly to the customer upon verification. The promotion includes Motorola’s latest 802.11n access points, the tri-radio adaptive AP-7131 and the dual-radio AP-650, as well as the complete line of its award-winning wireless switches – RFS4000 802.11n Integrated Services Controller, RFS6000 and RFS7000.
