Honeywell Expands Coverage in the Greece
Honeywell has enhanced its presence in the Greek automatic identification and data collection (AIDC) market by offering its full product line through Mobile Technology S.A., a Strategic Business Partner. The Honeywell Scanning & Mobility business is composed of the product and technology offerings from Hand Held Products and Metrologic Instruments, two companies acquired by Honeywell in late 2007 and mid 2008, respectively. As Honeywell’s Strategic Business Partner, Mobile Technology will deliver and support specialized productivity-enhancing solutions aimed at meeting the demands of the retail sector.
Founded in 2003, Mobile Technology offers a wide range of complete and effective data collection and mobile computing solutions for industrial environments. Mobile Technology’s dedication to innovative technologies is demonstrated by the fact that they were the first to introduce radio frequency identification (RFID) and voice command solutions in Greece.
“Honeywell offers one of the broadest product portfolios in the industry, and at the same time, its products and solutions stand out for their reliability and performance,” said Pavlos Katsaros, Vice President and Technical Director at Mobile Technology. Mobile Technology is now able to design, install and support total retail solutions, including software as well as hardware, such as mobile computers, and hand-held and hands-free scanners. The company provides full stock of Honeywell products, and is certified to directly carry out repairs, aiming to provide Honeywell clients in Greece with a complete solution.
“As a Strategic Business Partner, we will access Honeywell’s wide range of products to offer our customers the right equipment and systems that meet their needs,” Mr. Pavlos continued.
“Customers throughout Greece can now benefit from our scanning and mobility solutions via Mobile Technology to improve efficiency and productivity in their operations,” said Dave Sharratt, Channel Sales Director EMEA, Honeywell Scanning & Mobility. “With Mobile Technology’s logistical expertise and added value services, these solutions are easily within reach of a large number of retailers for applications such as point-of-sale, shipping and receiving, and stock and price management.”
